Today, Friday, and we are at Rugeley. Brand new Tesco right by the side of the
canal. Town rather dull. We will push
off to Great Haywood tomorrow, for the W/E, and visit the farmshop, for some lamb, and visit a pub on Sunday for
grog and grits.
Last night in The Swan , was very good. We listened to some fine musicians, and singers.
There was one lady of indeterminate age, with lovely long flowing grey
hair, who beat the irish drum ( can’t remember its specific name but know that
it has one)marvellously. Oh, I wish I had had an interest in playing an
instrument. There were 2 irish drums, harmonica, whistle type thing( a bit like
a recorder), a banjo, a guitar, a fiddle, and a melodian( which reminded us of
a chum….. Don).They could sing a tune as well.
So talented. ! So we enjoyed a
couple of pints, and Mick wanted a third. ! Glad I didn’t give in to him, as
our wee wee section of out Compost toilet would have been over flowing. !!!
Now, in case you are
interested. We think that the OTHER section
may be emptied in a couple of weeks. We
are 4 weeks into twice daily usage, and its great. But if we can stretch to 7 weeks we will be
more than happy. Anyone eating ??? Hope I haven’t ruined your meal. ! Anyway, we have stopped using a deposit slip
at the moment, as that fills it up quicker, and we have perfected our aim to go
straight through the trap-door. ! When
we do come to emptying, I have requested that the Captain find me a nice quiet,
remote Elsan/sanitary station, as I don’t want folk watching my first effort.
Right enough on that.
Scooby and Rita, if you read this , Whats the best pub in
Great Haywood, for lunch on Sunday???? Please,
